映画 Children of the Corn のリメイク版が米 SyFy チャンネルで現地時間9月26日に初公開されますが、その予告編が用意されています。
北米版 DVD は10月6日発売。予告編でも DVD のパッケージでも、大きめの帽子をかぶった少年の使い方が効果的だと思う。

コミック版タリスマンの表紙画像（4枚 #1、#2）
スティーヴン･キングとピーター･ストラウブの共著「タリスマン」のコミック版がデルレイ/ Del Rey から出版予定です。第2巻までの表紙が公開されているのでまとめて紹介。

デルレイ版「タリスマン」の制作陣は、脚本 Robin Furth（マーベル版「ダーク･タワー」も担当）、原画担当 Tony Shasteen、彩色担当 Nei Ruffino、通常版表紙担当 Massimo Carnevale と発表されています。
第1ミニシリーズ The Road of Trials の第1巻は11月18日発売、第2巻は12月16日発売予定です。10月21日には、小説「タリスマン」以前の世界でジャック･ソーヤーの父フィリップ･ソーヤーを描く第0巻カラー版が発行予定。第0巻モノクロ版は今年7月のサンディエゴ･コミックコンで無料配布されていましたが、カラー版も無料なのかは不明。
デルレイのサイトによると、The Road of Trials のシリーズ全巻（5巻だったかな?）を収録すると思われる ハードカバー版が2010年5月発売予定。

「ポップ･カルチャーはどうなる?」EW のコラム

本や映画、テレビ･ラジオにどんどん変化が訪れているけど、ただし良いほうにばかり変わっているように見えないぞ、というコラム。
余談だけど pusher という単語を見るたびにエディディーンのことがまず頭に浮かんでしまい、いったん思考が途切れるから困る。

UK 版 Under the Dome にもサイン入り限定版の予定
9月15日に予約が開始されたアメリカ国内限定発売の Under the Dome コレクターズエディション（サイン版、Simon & Schuster 発行）は6時間ほどで売り切れたようですが、イギリスでも限定サイン版が計画されているようです。
イギリスでキング作品を出版する Hodder & Stoughton が限定サイン版の出版許可を求め、キングは500部にサインすることを了承したとのこと。まだ発表はないですが、サインしてくれることが決まっているなら当然発売されると考えて良いでしょう。
Simon & Schuster のサイン版がアメリカ国外に発送されなかったのは、Hodder のイギリスにおける出版権を侵害する恐れがあるかららしいので、Hodder & Stoughton の限定サイン版はイギリス国内限定の発送になりそうなのが残念なところ。

登場人物の構成は「キング作品によくある」という感じですね。というか、ある人物に対して「また君か。○○に出てなかった?」と言いたくなる設定です。また、地図（PDF）はじっくり見ると面白いですよ。この位置関係だと小説「
」で Chester’s Mill を通ったんじゃないでしょうか。
このブログの右に貼ったウィジェットも公開されていますが、大きすぎるのでサイズを変更すると文字がつぶれるのは何とかしてほしいです。
