Publishers Weekly によると、コミックショップ限定で販売されている The Stand: Captain Trips のハードカバー版が、2010年1月から一般書店でも販売が開始されるようです。

The Stand Graphic Novel Finally Comes to Bookstores

Marvel Comics and DoubledayBroadway have reached an agreement to allow The Stand: Captain Trips, the hardcover graphic novel adaptation of Stephen King's The Stand, to be distributed in the general bookstore market beginning in January 2010. The book was originally released exclusively through comics shops in March after Marvel acknowledged that it did not have permission from the prose book's original publisher, Doubleday, to distribute it to general bookstores.

マーベル･コミックス版「ザ･スタンド」第1シリーズの全5巻を収録するコレクション集、The Stand: Captain Trips Premiere Hardcover は、マーベルがダブルデイ社から許可を貰い忘れた（笑）ために、コミックショップ限定の販売になってしまい、Amazon.com を含む一般書店では購入できなかったわけです。現在、9月発売の Captain Trips ペーパーバック版と第2シリーズ American Nightmares のハードカバー版（11月発売）とがアマゾンで予約できるようになっているため、販売チャネルの制限はずっと続くものではなさそうだと分かっていたんですが、これで完全解除するようです。

せっかくなんで、Captain Trips Amazon.com 限定カバー版とかも用意してくれたら面白いんですけどね。
